Buy Andy A Brick . COM

Andy needs a home to return to...

This site has been setup to allow you to donate a £1 to buy a brick for Andy.

Andy needs modifcations to his home to accomodate him. He has lived in hospitals for the past 18 months and had very little contact with his family - especially his 3 children. Andy is now being prepared to returm home but this can't happen until some significant changes are made to his home. He needs a downstairs bedroom with hoists and all sorts of specialised equipment. He also needs a wet room and a day room where he can relax and spend time with his children.

Plans are being drawn up for an extension but it can't be built until he has the money.

Please would you consider buying Andy a brick,
so that his house can be modified enabling him to return home?

About Andy
Andy Blagden is a young man, married to Charlotte and has 3 children; Lauren (13), Katie (10) and Nathan (3)
Andy was diagnosed with a tumour in his spinal cord in June 2013. The tumour was at spinal level Cervical3 going down to Thoracic2 (C3-T2). This is incredibly high up the neck and the only option was to operate. This in itself was not without risk but after a 15-16 hour operation the tumour had been removed. The outlook was good. Then Andy became ill....
Early September Andy contracted pneumonia and then sepsis, Andy's kidneys then failed and he was put on constant dialysis for a month and required a blood transfusion during this time.
Andy came through all this but he now lives with the consequences; unable to breathe without support Andy has a tracheostomy with 24hr ventilation, he is also unable to speak and he is unable to move himself.
See Andy's blog for his ongoing story of rehabilitation
with the goal of getting back home to his family and his future.
